Striped Bass (Morone Saxatilis), Wild Rockfish, Stripers
This striped bass is a true bass, not to be confused with the hybrid species farmed in freshwater ponds and lakes. Part of Moronidae family, this fish is large with black stripes running along its silvery metallic sides.
Open-ocean Raised
Pacifico is the only four-star Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) rated striped bass. Committed to sustainable aquaculture practices, Pacifico actively manages all aspects of the fish’s lifecycle. The sea bass’s life cycle begins in a highly protective and monitored hatchery until they outgrow it after about 60-90 days. They then are moved to an open ocean outgrow site at Todos Santos Island, Mexico where the fish are stocked with plenty of room to swim and grow in floating sea cages. Pacifico aquaculture practices allow for the reduction of pressure on wild fish stocks while ensuring a consistent supply of sustainably grown high-quality striped bass.
