Farmed Australian Hiramasa is the fish closest to that of Japanese Hamachi. Not only does it resemble the Hamachi in taste, it is responsibly raised from the land down under (Australia) where there are responsible farming practices.
Hiramasa has a fattier taste and slightly softer texture in comparison to Kona Kanpachi.
