A prized delicacy
Dungeness Crab is a prized delicacy of the west coast. People love the crab’s large lumps of tender, sweet, and perfectly chunked meat. Each crab is about 1.5 – 2 lbs. They were caught off the San Francisco Bay, brought to the dock live, and either kept live in our tanks or freshly cooked.
This crab received a yellow ranking from the Monterey Seafood Watch program. It was caught using pot and traps out of the Pacific Ocean. We aim to source all of our crabs from small Bay Area boats to support our local fisher people.
As a 100% transparent and sustainable seafood supplier, Royal Hawaiian was one of the first seafood processors in the country to collaborate with the Monterey Bay Seafood Watch program to ensure that we only sell products from fisheries that are responsibly harvested or aquacultured.
